Kenny Rogers, the renowned singer and song writer, has had trials and tribulations through his lifetime, including his plastic surgery. The world as well as Huston, Texas welcomed Rogers on August 21, 1938. Through his life and career, he has made millions with his hits such as “The Gambler” released in 1978, “Love Lifted Me” in 1975 and “What are We Doin’ in Love” in 1981. Rogers also wrote various songs for many different artists as well as sang a duet with Dolly Parton, “Islands in the Stream.” His success also came in the form of some movies, such as “The Gambler” and “Coward of the Country.”
Kenny Rogers Plastic Surgery
Rogers has made waves with a plastic surgery technique. Inspired to receive plastic surgery by Dolly Parton, Rogers’s facelift went horribly wrong. In the late 1990’s, married to a youthful lady, Rogers wanted to keep up with his changing appearance. He wanted to have the young, rugged look that he has had throughout his life. The facelift was supposed to remove wrinkles around Rogers’s eyes and mouth to give his clean look that he has always been famous for. However, the procedure took an ugly turn as he woke up from surgery. He discovered that his eyes were pulled too tightly, which resulted in a “bug-eyed” appearance. Additionally, his forehead seemed longer and misshapen.
The surgery left him with a bad taste in his mouth, and made him appear older than the younger appearance he was seeking. Right after the plastic surgery, Rogers did not look like him in the least. No one would recognize him on the street and he appeared much older than his actual age. After the surgery, he became somewhat distraught about the whole mess. He didn’t feel like this was what he signed up for when he agreed to the surgery.
Kenny Rogers before and after plastic surgery
Through the whole ordeal, he was fighting with the doctor who performed the surgery to fix the mistakes. However, the doctor never did own up to the mishap and Rogers’s plastic surgery was never repaired. He does joke about it, 10-years later, saying that the older he gets, the better it is beginning to look. As time moves forward, Roger’s face is starting to develop more profoundly and looking like him once again. When Rogers wrote his memoirs, he talked about the many scandals and life events, which made him who he is today. He even wrote a chapter about his plastic surgery and his unhappiness of the way his eyes turned out. However, the chapter never made it into the book because the publisher deemed it unreliable. This is due to the fact that when the book hits the shelves, the public will primarily discuss and remember only the plastic surgery and not Rogers other accomplishments in life. Now more than 10-years later, Rogers has moved on from this experience and thinks that he is finally returning to his previous self. Through the whole tribulation, he kept his chin up and decided that eventually, his eyes will become normal again.
